When a member of the Associated Humane Society was trying to locate the home of a loose dog, the member went door-to-door, coming upon a house with odor and loud barking.

The member immediately notified The Monmouth County SPCA and the investigation began.

During the examination of the home, investigators were given access to the home and observed an incredible number of dogs in the such a small area. It was noted that there were shelves and steps built for the dogs to reach higher levels of each wall, while some lived between the walls, in couches, and even beneath furniture. The dogs were also noted to be fearful and anxious, barking at anyone in the home.

275 dogs found in New Jersey home are being medically examined on scene.

It took the SPCA 15 hours to remove the dogs from the home, while the family face charges of failing to provide veterinary care and offering inhumane living conditions.

Although most dogs are safe and sound, after medical clearings, they will be placed in adoption and hopefully find a home more suited for love and care.
