12 Questions All Dog Owners Are Sick Of Answering

Dogs often bring a plethora of questions with them. Some of the questions are well thought out, but a lot of the time, they are the same questions over and over and over again.

As a dog owner, you are approached by all sorts of people when you are out for a walk with your pal. People are drawn to dogs even when they aren’t necessarily dog people. As such, they often bring a plethora of questions with them. Some of the questions are well thought out, but a lot of the time, they are the same questions over and over and over again.

Here are 12 questions that dog owners are probably sick of answering:

1. What breed is your dog?

This is the number one question all dog owners are asked and one that they are probably sick of answering. Maybe we should just have a little sign attached to our dog’s collar that says what breed they are or lists the numerous breeds in their mix.

2. I bet you hate picking up poop. Don’t you hate picking up poop?

Of course we do. Poop is gross. It’s a small price to pay for unconditional love, though.

5. Is your dog friendly/Can I pet your dog?

9. I thought <insert your dog’s breed here> were supposed to be <insert trait here>, why isn’t yours?

Look, certain breeds do have certain traits, but not every dog of that breed is the same.

10. Could you please take your dog outside?

This one is asked when you’ve brought your dog into the bank with you or a store. Unless there is a sign that says ‘no dogs/pets allowed’ your personal dislike of dogs will not dictate where I bring mine. Restaurants, grocery stores, and those types of places are a given. You don’t bring your dog inside. But other stores that don’t have signs are fair game.

11. Could you keep your dog from peeing <insert random place here>?

We can do our best to stop our dogs from peeing on things they shouldn’t, but dogs are going to pee, and they’re going to pee a lot. We can’t always control where.

12. Won’t your dog be fine for one night? Just come out!
