What The HSUS Is Offering
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is making an offer to the public that we can’t refuse. With the devastation of puppy mills and animal abuse growing across the continent, the HSUS is offering incentives for information on these issues.
“The Humane Society of the United States offers a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a puppy mill operator for illegal animal cruelty.” – Humane Society of the United Sates.
The HSUS is also offering the same reward to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in dogfighting and cockfighting.
How You Can Help
There are a few steps you can take to help shut down illegal puppy mills and fighting rings.
HOT LINES
Puppy Mills – (877) MILL TIP
Dog Fighting – (877) TIP HSUS
You can call either of these hotlines and leave information on puppy mills, dog fighting, or abuse. The HSUS will ensure that your information is kept confidential, and you can also remain anonymous if you prefer.
REPORT IT
Police – Call your local police department. Provide as many details as possible about the potential puppy mill or fighting ring. You are not obligated to provide any personal information about yourself to make the report. Be sure to mention the HSUS reward program.
Animal Control Agency – Call your local animal control agency or Humane Society branch. Provide as many details as possible about the potential puppy mill or fighting ring.
How to Receive the Reward
Get a Letter – “If the puppy mill operator or suspected animal fighter is convicted, ask the law enforcement agency involved in the case to write a letter to The HSUS. The letter should state that your tip helped lead to the arrest and prosecution.”
Mail the Letter to:
