Treat Your Dog With These DIY Peanut Butter Pumpkin Spice Dog Treats

Everybody knows that fall is the season of pumpkin spice, and your dog shouldn't have to miss out! Treat your pup with these easy DIY peanut butter pumpkin spice dog treats!

One of my favourite things to do in the fall is bake. Last year, I went a little pumpkin-spice wild with my baking, but let’s be honest – there’s a reason everyone loves it. Pumpkin spice really does taste amazing!

In a previous post, on things your dog needs for fall, I came across some pumpkin spice dog treats. And I immediately thought, it can’t be too difficult to bake my own. And I was right! I also added some peanut butter, since it’s a classic fan favorite with dogs everywhere.

Here’s how you can make your own peanut butter pumpkin spice treats for your pup this season.

Prep-time: 25 minutes

Bake time: 40 minutes

Makes (approx.) 40 treats

Recipe

  • 2 ½ cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup canned pumpkin
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Dog treat ingredients

Preparation

In a big bowl, mix all ingredients.

I started by using a hand mixer but found the dough to be too thick. It ended up being easier to just mix with my hands. You might also need to add a little bit of water to make the dough more workable.

Next, roll out dough so it’s roughly 1 1/2 inches thick.

Cut into whatever shape you like!

I cut mine into medium-sized circles and the recipe made approximately 40 cookies. Bigger cutters might make half of that.

And that’s it! Just let cool, and give to your dog as a special little fall treat.
