In case you’ve never met them: these are the presidential pooches who ‘run’ The White House.

United States President Barack Obama added Bo to his family when he first took office, almost eight years ago. Sunny came to the family in 2013 as a gift. The pair are Portuguese water dogs who can be recognized by their fur patterns. Sunny is all black, while Bo, has paws as white as his chest. Much like their owners, these dogs are ambassadors of The United States and therefore stay on a strict schedule.
First Lady Michelle Obama approves their schedules and assists as they guide tourists through The White House. The dogs regularly see hospitalized children, wounded service members, and even entertain crowds at the Easter Egg Roll.
The dogs are so popular that a man from North Dakota was arrested when he told authorities that he came to Washington to kidnap one of the presidential pooches.

Aside from their daily duties, the dogs have recently been ‘tearing up The White House’. From traveling around the property with other workers, to sneaking in a poop where nobody can see them. Bo and Sunny have a different life than most.
